Luxury will abound on and off the water at the 2019 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) as long-time sponsor and renowned British car manufacturer Bentley marks 100 years of innovation, achievement and craftsmanship.
Now its seventh consecutive year as the major sponsor of SCIBS, Bentley considers the May 23-26 event the perfect opportunity to celebrate its centenary milestone and welcome its new Gold Coast showroom.
Having transformed the face of motoring since 1919, the company will also display its latest, luxurious range of motor vehicles at SCIBS including the all-new Continental GT Convertible.
SCIBS General Manager Johan Hasser said he was thrilled that Bentley Brisbane and Bentley Gold Coast would once again have their incredible range of vehicles on show.
“We have formed a wonderful relationship with the team from Bentley during the past seven years and congratulate them on reaching such a significant milestone,” he said.
“It is an amazing achievement for any business to celebrate its 100th birthday, let alone in an industry as competitive as car manufacturing, but Bentley has continually proven its ability to design, engineer and build the world’s most desirable Grand Tourers with a unique combination of luxury and performance.
“While SCIBS is famous for showcasing the best the boating world has to offer, a huge number of our visitors are also drawn each year to the Bentley display and that will be no different in 2019.”
Bentley Brisbane and Gold Coast General Manager Scott Newland said the company’s sponsorship of SCIBS was an ideal fit given the strong relationship and synergies between the two organisations.
“Sanctuary Cove is the perfect location and event to showcase the lifestyle of Bentley,” he said.
“We always attract a great crowd to our Bentley Suite and this year is particularly exciting as it coincides with the opening of our new Bentley Gold Coast showroom and the launch of our new Continental GT Convertible, which some would say is the perfect car for the Gold Coast.
“Add in our centenary year of celebrations and we are delighted to be back at SCIBS in 2019.”
Founded by WO Bentley in July 1919, Bentley Motors employs a team of more than 4000 highly skilled people who make each of its extraordinary cars at a factory in the English city of Crewe.
A wide range of Centenary activities are being held this year, including a series of ‘Extraordinary Dinners’ rolling out across the world.
The Bentley Suite at SCIBS will be located on the boardwalk overlooking F Pier.
More than 45,000 visitors and 300-plus exhibitors will descend on Sanctuary Cove’s spectacular waterfront during SCIBS, with live music, delicious food, vibrant bars and street entertainers combining with a nonstop program of family entertainment to deliver an event that has something for everyone.
SCIBS offers a FREE park ‘n’ ride service from Warner Bros. Movie World, along with limited on-site parking, available to pre-purchase.
