A thrilling on-water spectacle has provided a sky-high glimpse at some of the most spectacular boats that will be showcased at the 29th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) from May 25 to 28 on the Gold Coast.

Five multi-million-dollar vessels converged in a show-stopping V-formation that was captured overhead, marking just three weeks until the southern hemisphere’s premier marine event opens its gates.

Attracting more than 40,000 visitors, SCIBS injects $148 million into the local economy each year. A trade and consumer show endorsed by Tourism & Events Queensland, SCIBS delivers an unrivalled display with hundreds of boats and thousands of marine products showcased across four days of boating fun.

This year, Sanctuary Cove will again transform the pristine marina and green expanses of The Marine Village into a bustling industry mecca, as the world’s leading marine brands stage exclusive product reveals and demonstrations.

Today’s launch featured a selection of the latest marques from SCIBS exhibitors including the Horizon E84, Whitehaven 6000 Coupe, Integrity 490 Grand Sedan, Maritimo M59 and the Alaska 47 from Leigh-Smith Yachts.

SCIBS general manager Johan Hasser said the biggest names in the marine industry have chosen to once again launch their latest products and innovations at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

“The host of world launches, industry innovations and visitor experiences are guaranteed to captivate and delight the thousands of boating enthusiasts expected to descend on Sanctuary Cove for one of the leading boat shows in the Asia-Pacific region,” Mr Hasser said.

“Featuring everything from luxury superyachts and in-demand charter vessels, motor yachts, sailing boats and multihulls, to jet skis, fishing boats, RIBs, and the latest gear and gadgets, SCIBS caters to every level of interest, life stage and budget.”

This year, SCIBS is proud to welcome Bentley Brisbane as major sponsor of the Show.

Unveiling the new $399,000 seven-seat Diesel Bentayga SUV and the all-new extreme Bentley – the Continental Supersports to the Queensland audience, the Bentley Be Extraordinary road show exhibition will complete the experience, allowing guests the chance to catch a special glimpse into the craftsmanship, character and racing heritage of the iconic British luxury carmaker during their visit.

From the moment guests arrive, industry displays will be enhanced by a lively program of family-friendly entertainment and events, including a Kids’ Zone, roving street performers, live music and delicious food on offer throughout The Marine Village.

Last year’s popular additions including Supercar Street and The Boatyard – a dedicated sport and trailer boat precinct – will be back in 2017 providing visitors with “shows within shows”.

Internationally renowned as the event where the “marine business does business”, SCIBS 2017 will present the International Business Lounge, where industry movers and shakers can talk business, network or relax in superb style and comfort; and the Top Deck VIP Lounge where guests can enjoy the ultimate boat show experience in a fully catered private retreat.

SCIBS offers FREE park ‘n’ ride services from Warner Bros. Movie World, along with limited on-site parking, available pre-paid only.
