With close to 200 boats on display, the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show’s on-water showcase was a spectacular success. From an array of global launches, Australian premieres and Queensland debuts, the Marina saw the world’s leading marine brands congregate together for our 30th milestone edition.
Adding to the celebrations at this year’s SCIBS was the official debut of new Australian luxury yacht company Yachtsmen International.
Choosing SCIBS 2018 as the ideal setting to officially launch to the market, Yachtsmen International unveiled its full service global yachting company which specialises in brokerage, charter, new construction, refit and repair, yacht management, crew placement and training, for both motor and superyachts.
In line with its official launch, Yachtsmen International had its luxury brokerage vessels, including an 86’ Sunseeker Yacht and 58’ Riviera 5800 Sports Yacht, on show, as well as a VIP lounge.
A timeless classic was also on display, as Steve Wallace Marine showed off its luxury, expedition motor yacht, with visitors able to explore first hand the 2008 Chuck Paine pocket super yacht, Adagio 72.
At 22m (72ft) and displacing 66 tonnes, the Adagio 72 boasts 5-Star super yacht engineering, safety, comfort and reliability and as a long-range cruiser, can make crossings of 2000nm.
Built by Vitali/Bjorklund Yacht Construction Management of Auckland, Adagio has big-ship systems throughout: electronic stabilisation underway and at anchor, sophisticated navigation and communication equipment, very low noise and vibration levels when underway, and a five-star finish inside and out.
