Selene Yachts have followed a simple philosophy. Build full displacements boats that ensure safe, comfortable, economical, and luxurious long-range cruising. This philosophy has led to a range of yachts perfectly suited to exploring the Australian coastline and beyond. Selene has two lines of yachts, the Classic Explorers which they introduced 25 years ago, and the recently launched and contemporary, Ocean Explorers.
The Selene Ocean Explorers range in size from 62 to 128 foot, while the Selene Classic Explorers range from 49 to 66 foot. There are several layouts to choose from with each model, and all display the craftsmanship for which Selene Yachts are renowned.
The living areas, galley, and accommodations are beautifully appointed and there are multiple areas for relaxing or entertaining. Built for adventure and cruising to remote locations, Selene Yachts are designed with redundancy and ease of maintenance in mind. Their displacement hull and large fuel tanks ensure any ocean can be crossed safely and comfortably. Hydraulic stabilisers minimise roll and operate very effectively whether underway or at anchor. An attractive feature of Selene Yachts is the ability for a couple to handle all but the largest of the Selene range, making visiting marinas and anchoring in our many bays and waterways straight forward and stress free.
At the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show the Selene Yachts Australia team will be exhibiting two new boats, the 49 Classic Explorer, and the 66 Classic Explorer.
The 49 Classic Explorer is available for immediate purchase and features 3 cabins, two bathrooms, a large salon, and a spacious wheelhouse all finished in mahogany. The expansive flybridge has a davit with room for a 3.4m tender.
She is powered by single Cummins 250hp engine with a back-up wing engine and has a cruising range of 2,000nm at 8.5 knots.
The 66 Classic Explorer is the flagship of the Classic range. It features a large full beam owner’s cabin, 2 guest cabins, crew’s quarters and 3 bathrooms. The wide body layout creates a salon and galley that are particularly generous and comfortable, while the wheelhouse and lower helm create another area to dine and socialise while underway or at anchor. The expansive flybridge is another outstanding area to BBQ, entertain or dine and has room for a 4.2mt tender. This vessel is equipped with the latest navigation and electrical systems, and is powered by twin Cummins QSL9, 405hp engines.
